Co-owner Cyril Peach has been in customer service since he was a child. Growing up he would help his Mom and Dad with their vegetable harvest, going door to door selling them. He learned at an early age the importance of hard work. His first paid job was in the deli at Sobeys where he worked for many years over-seeing production of prepared meals. Presently Cyril also works at Costco - a 'Day 1' employee since they opened their doors in Newfoundland 20 years ago. From Costco, Cyril has learned the importance of fast, efficient and professional service. He had brought these values to Coffee Matters where he is also Operating Manager of Canteen Matters. Cyril is a proud father to 2 sons and co-parent to 3 of his partner's children - which leads to a busy but fulfilling life!

If you look up customer service in the dictionary, you might find Boyde Warford in the definition. Boyde has a strong passion for excellence in service and comes from a background in managing cafés. In 1998-99, Boyde leased a coffee shop in downtown St. John’s, and after a successful year he moved to Vancouver where he helped open and design a new café. Boyde then moved into health care, where his customer service skills were greatly improved after working with management in the medical gas industry. When Scott and Cyril were acquiring Coffee Matters, Boyde was recommended to come on board to manage the coffee shops and continue to help expand the brand into what it has become today. Boyde is committed to providing the best possible customer experience on every visit to Coffee Matters. You might find Boyde running around at any of our locations making sure operations are running smoothly and using his eye for detail to provide consistency in all stores.
